Hey, I’m Reif.
Photographer, traveller, music lover, Troopy owner, and someone who's much happier documenting what's actually happening than trying to make everything perfect.
I've always been drawn to photography because it gives me a reason to pay attention.
The expressions people don't realise they're making. Someone losing it on the dance floor. A parent watching from the other side of the room. All the little things happening around the obvious photograph.
Weddings suit the way my brain works. They're fast, unpredictable and full of things happening at once. I enjoy finding photographs within that rather than trying to slow everything down and control it.
I'm calm when plans change, happy to give direction when it's needed, and equally happy to disappear into the background when it isn't.
More than anything, I want the people I photograph to enjoy whatever they're actually there to experience.
What working together feels like
I'm pretty relaxed by nature, and that's how I like shoots to feel too.
I'll talk you through anything you need help with, but I'm not going to spend the whole time correcting where your hands are or asking you to recreate something that just happened.
We'll work things out together, have a laugh, and make some great photographs along the way.
Outside of Photography
I'm usually happiest somewhere outside.
I love travelling, camping, getting away in my Troopy, playing guitar, the beach, and generally finding excuses to explore somewhere new.
Photography has always fitted naturally into that. It's made me pay more attention to people, places and little moments I'd probably otherwise walk straight past.
That curiosity is a big part of what I bring to my work.
Maybe we’ll get along.
If you're planning a wedding and this sounds like the kind of experience you're after, I'd love to hear about it.
